Framing in deep white tray frame.

I have called this series of paintings and photographs “Edge of Knowing”. I like the way that describes how I feel when starting a new painting – leaning on years of experience but not knowing a thing!  I have used a grid of some kind in most images, representing the need to understand and order the world. But within the grid are abstract marks and shapes, the mystery of the unexplored unknown. I have put in what might be undeciphered data suggesting there is meaning I can’t see yet.
