P10 from my 2025 France sketchbook.
This collage was made after a visit to La Flotte, a town on the north coast of the island and one of the main centres. We were impressed by the very consistent decoration of the buildings - old white walls, soft greens and blues of the woodwork, the window shadows punching blacks into the wall, and occasional accents of terracottas and warm yellows.
